25 Years as a Training Company: Destilla Invests in Home-Grown Talent

For 25 years, Destilla has been training young people across a range of professions at its Nördlingen site. In our anniversary year of 2026, four new apprentices are joining Destilla and continuing a success story that continues to shape our company today.

Training at Destilla Since 2001

Destilla has been training young people in a variety of professions in Nördlingen since 2001. Vocational training is now an integral part of our company philosophy. It enables us to pass on specialist knowledge and develop skilled professionals from within our own ranks. One figure clearly demonstrates the lasting impact of this approach: 58 former apprentices still work at Destilla today, some of whom have since progressed into management positions.

Developing Talent and Retaining Expertise

By providing training within the company, we create a strong foundation for retaining expertise over the long term and preparing young talent for a wide range of roles. Our renewed recognition by Handelsblatt confirms the high quality of our training programme. “For us, training is much more than a first step into working life. It is an important investment in the future of our company and in the development of young people in the region. We want to nurture talent, offer prospects and support people over the long term,” says Matthias Thienel, Managing Director of Destilla GmbH.

Four New Apprentices Join Destilla in 2026

In our anniversary year, four new apprentices are continuing this story: Antonia Böhm is beginning her training as a chemical laboratory technician, Saim Pietrosante is training as a warehouse logistics specialist, Derya Schmid is starting her industrial management assistant apprenticeship and Fynn Serhat is training to become a distiller. We warmly welcome all four and wish them every success as they begin their careers at Destilla in Nördlingen.
